Rare heart diseases are typically hereditary and are mainly linked to the phenomenon of sudden youthful death. Currently, widespread preventative screenings in our country primarily target young people who regularly participate in sports or championships (local, national, or international).

This situation creates discrimination within the youth population, even though the pathological causes of sudden youthful death aren't limited to athletes. Sudden death in young people is primarily caused by hereditary cardiovascular diseases, which are at the core of this issue. Therefore, preventing sudden youthful death is tied to the ability to diagnose and treat these hereditary cardiovascular conditions.

However, this current situation is merely the impetus for establishing a National Network for the Study of Hereditary and Rare Heart Diseases in every country. This network will ensure equality in the population's right to sudden death prevention and the treatment of hereditary cardiovascular diseases. By the project's end, clinical examinations will have been conducted on 8,000 patients and their relatives. Additionally, 600 patients and 2,400 of their relatives will receive free genetic testing.
